Charles Knuf

Charles “Chuck” Knuf, age 64 of Breese, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 26, 2019. 

Mr. Knuf was born in Breese on March 24, 1955, a son of Anthony “Tony” and Ella Mae (nee See) Knuf.  He married Kathie Boehne on October 1, 1977, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman and she survives in Breese.

In addition to his wife Kathie, Chuck is also survived by his daughters – Erin Robert and husband Tyler of Kirkwood, Missouri, Jamie Mahlandt and husband Chris of Breese, and Lindsey Tucker and husband Joel of Carlyle; his grandsons – Ben, Nick, and Drew Robert, Evan, Jake, and Charlie Mahlandt; and Jackson, Beckett, and Mason Tucker; his brothers – Bill Knuf and wife Sharon of Highland, and Tom Knuf and wife Lisa of Flower Mound, Texas; a sister – Pam Wedekemper and husband Gary of Carlyle; his mother-in-law – Erna Boehne of Hoffman; and his sisters-in-law – Roxann Knuf of Carlyle and Krista Miller and husband John of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Tony and Ella Mae Knuf; his father-in-law – Charlie Boehne; a brother – Steve Knuf; and 2 grandsons – Grant and Nolan Tucker.

Mr. Knuf worked for Continental Tire for 30 years.  After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing with his grandsons.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman, where he served as elder and usher. 

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman with Pastor Joseph Lecke, officiating.  Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hoffman.  Visitation will be held at on Monday, October 28, 2019, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle, and on Tuesday, October 29, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Knuf are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School in Hoffman, All Saints Academy in Breese, or to St. Peter School in Kirkwood.
