Dorothy Taylor Obituary

Dorothy E. Taylor, age 88 of rural Carlyle, passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Belleville on September 11, 1930, a daughter of Edgar and Irene (Klotzer) Conklin. She married Robert J. Taylor in Arkansas on May 17, 1947, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2000.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son – Loran Taylor and wife Patricia of Terre Haute, Indiana; 2 granddaughters – Dorothy and Deanne; 6 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter – Barbara “Susie” Taylor.

Dorothy was a homemaker and she had many hobbies, including working puzzles and reading.

Following cremation, Mrs. Taylor will be interred at Walnut Hill Cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Dorothy may be made to the donor’s favorite charity and will be received at Zieren Funeral Home.
