Eugene Kellermann Obituary

Eugene E. Kellermann, age 73, of Carlyle, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle. He was born on May 28, 1932, in Carlyle, a son of Edward and Ruby (nee Barbara) Kellermann. He married Melba M Michael on February 17, 1957, at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden, and she survives in Carlyle. Mr. Kellermann is also survived by a 3 sons - Kevin Kellermann & wife Kathy of Woodlawn, Ill, Mike Kellermann & wife Deborah of Carlyle, Ill and Rodney Kellermann & wife Barbara Jean of Patoka, Ill; 1 brother - Leroy Kellermann of Salem, Mo; a sister - Agnes Burhans & husband Ron of Crown Point, Ind and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson - Grant Kellermann; a step grandson - Buddy Howard; a brother - Donald Kellermann and a sister - Dolores Shea. Mr. Kellermann worked at Clark Appliances and Gross Hardware. He was also and independent repairman. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle, and was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle with Rev. Steve Sommerer, officiating. Interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery. Friends may call at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mr. Kellermann are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle and will be received at Zieren Day Funeral Home.
