Helen C. Smith

Helen C. Smith, age 76 of Greenville, passed away on May 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Highland.

She was born in Brosley, MO on November 22, 1942, a daughter of Raymond L. and Lola D. (Thornton) Wayne.  Helen married Everett Smith in 1959 and he survives in rural Greenville.

In addition to her husband Everett, Helen is survived by her son – Rick Smith of Carlyle, granddaughter – Kate Smith of Pocahontas, brother – Roy Wayne, and two sisters – Wilda Gurlen and Barbara Wayne. 

Helen was a beautician in Fairview Heights and Pocahontas and enjoyed sewing and shopping.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport with Pastor Scott Broughton officiating.  Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 10:00 A.M.- 11:00A.M.  Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
