Lorraine Licare

Lorraine Licare, age 88 of Boulder, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Mrs. Licare was born on February 11, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Harold and Mary (McCall) Dolde.  She married Ross Licare, Jr. on August 12, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2011. 

Mrs. Licare is survived by her children – Ross Licare, III and wife Emmy of Florida, Janet Meyer and husband Bill of Missouri, Michael Licare and wife Kim of Louisiana, and John Licare of North Carolina; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law – Melvin Tinsley; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents – Harold and Mary Dolde; her husband – Ross Licare, Jr.; a granddaughter – Ly Licare; 2 sisters – Wanda Tinsley and Virginia “Ginny” Dreste and her husband, Albert Dreste; and 2 nephews – Ronald and Michael Tinsley. 

Lorraine worked in the cafeteria at St. Louis Lambert Airport for 20 years, serving food to those in the Air National Guard.  She enjoyed camping, working crossword puzzles, and watching Netflix.  Lorraine loved her pets and watching the birds and wildlife outside her home in Boulder.  She attended St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle.   

The Licare family will receive guests at their home in Boulder on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 1-3 PM.  Friends and family are also invited to stop by the home anytime over the weekend. 

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, memorial donations are suggested to the Clinton County Humane Society.  Donations will be received at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle.
