Brad Long

Brad Long, age 64 of Carlyle, passed away at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, on April 13th, 2022. Brad was born on October 4th, 1957, in Vandalia, Illinois, to Ralph and Inis (Alton) Long. 

Brad was a member of the Columbus Baptist Church in Keyesport, Illinois. He worked in railroad salvage and enjoyed drawing and art. Brad was outside every chance he got and loved outdoor activities such as fishing and hunting. 

Brad is survived by his mother, Inis Long; his sister, Rhonda Short (John) of Greenville;  a brother, Randy Long (Sheila) of Mulberry Grove; three nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Long.

A graveside service for Mr. Long will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 21st, 2022, at Taylor Cemetery in Pittsburg, Illinois. 

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, expressions of sympathy in memory of Brad Long are suggested to the Columbus Baptist Church in Keyesport, Illinois.
