Brenda Kay Bower

UPDATE:  A Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Carlyle Christian Church.  

Brenda Kay Bower, age 51 of Carlyle, passed away at her home on Friday, November 20, 2020.

Mrs. Bower was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, on July 25, 1969, a daughter of Cleveland and Delores (Hartman) Plunkett.  She married Brent Bower on August 30, 2008, in Brown County, Indiana and he survives in Carlyle.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Brent Bower; her parents, Cleveland and Delores Plunkett; her children, Sarah Rinker, Daniel Fenton, Brittany Rose and husband Matthew, and Brooke Bower; her grandchildren, Tyson and Zoie Fenton; a brother, Michael Plunkett and wife Heather, and their son August, and a sister - Debbie Patton and husband Danny.

Brenda loved her family, her pets, he church, and community.  She was a member of the Carlyle Christian Church and helped others through her work with the Carlyle Rotary Club.  Brenda loved to cook and bake and also enjoyed boating. 

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Bower are suggested to the Carlyle Christian Church Outreach Center or to the Clinton County Humane Society.  Memorial donations will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, PO Box 276, Carlyle, IL 62231.
