Edna B. Hill

Edna Hill, age 91 of Carlyle, died at the Carlyle Healthcare Center on April 22, 2021.

Edna was born in Richmond, Kentucky on January 12, 1930, a daughter of Fred and Mae (Collins) Branahan.  She married James D. Hill in 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2003. 

Edna was a kind and giving person who will be remembered for her compassion and bright smile.  She made many friends with her coworkers and customers while working at the CC Food Mart in Carlyle. 

A Memorial gathering will be held at the Carlyle Fish Hatchery Park on Sunday, June 20, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.  Friends and family are invited to come and share stories and remember Edna's life. 

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Hill are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Memorials will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, PO Box 276, Carlyle, IL, 62231.
