Marjorie F. Seiffert

Marjorie F. Seiffert, age 87 of Carlyle, passed away at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Breese on Sunday, June 6, 2021. 

Mrs. Seiffert was born in Carlyle on February 9, 1934, a daughter of Henry and Florence (nee Wuebbels) Kahrhoff.  She married Paul L. Seiffert, Jr. on July 6, 1955, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2006.

Marge is survived by her children – Mike Seiffert and wife Kim of Carlyle, Mark Seiffert and wife Gale of Carlyle, Linda Davis and husband Larry or Trenton, and Ken Seiffert and wife Marla of Carlyle; 9 grandchildren – Debi, Jonathan, Mindy, Kristi, Joshua, Merik, Kyle, Keith, and Emily; 8 great grandchildren – Jaron, Mason, Lydia, Adelyn, Dominic, Logan, Kensley, and Landon; and a sister – JoAnn Eilermann and husband Frank of Highland. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers – Bill and Orie Kahrhoff. 

Mrs. Seiffert loved spending time with her family, especially when they were camping.  She also enjoyed working in her yard and rooting for her favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals.  Marge worked as a nurse and later stayed home to raise their family.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and St. Mary’s Altar Sodality. 

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck, celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Friday morning from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M. 

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Seiffert are suggested to St. Mary’s Church or to Heartland Hospice.  Memorial donations will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, PO Box 276, Carlyle, IL 62231.
