Nancy Patterson

Nancy Patterson, 76, formerly of Carlyle, died at her home on Friday, November 12, 2021. 

Mrs. Patterson was born in Teaneck, New Jersey on February 21, 1945, a daughter of the late Peter and Elvira (Montemagno) Fusco.  She married Edwin Lee Patterson in Greenville on October 12, 1979, and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2009.

Nancy is survived by her 2 sons – Shane Lucas and wife Crystal of Coulterville, Illinois and Brady Lucas of Patoka, Illinois; her grandchildren – Jamie Kohrmann and husband Kurt, Hollie Sensel, and Mason Lucas, all of Carlyle, Sarah Norton and fiancé Dakota Whritenour of Hoffman, and Josh and Landen Lucas of Patoka; and her great grandchildren – Kamdyn, Kollette, and Kollenz Kohrmann, and Zane and Denver Sensel.  Nancy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son – Richard Lucas, Jr.; and 2 sisters – Lucretia Berta and Eleanor Hagerman. 

Nancy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who loved her family and friends fiercely.  She enjoyed riding with her dog on her side by side down by the river, whether she was looking for deer, spotting eagles, or just going for a ride.  Nancy loved antiquing and going to yard sales, and she had a knack for turning trash into treasures.  More than all else, Nancy cherished her time with her family, her friends, and the Wine Wednesday ladies.  Mrs. Patterson worked as the nutritional planner for Carlyle Schools, and after her retirement she enjoyed working at the Ten Pin Antique Mall. 

Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.  A graveside service will be held at McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport on Monday, November 15, 2021. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery at 11:00 A.M.   

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Patterson are suggested to the Clinton County Humane Society or to Meals on Wheels.  Condolence cards and memorial donations will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, PO Box 276, Carlyle, IL 62231.
