Pamela Kay Thompson, age 71 of Carlyle, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
Pam was born in Kankakee, Illinois on April 6, 1949, a daughter of Weldon G. and Florence A. (Leidecker) Arseneau. She married Thomas L. Thompson in Mt. Vernon on September 24, 2009, and he survives in Carlyle.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Pam is also survived by her children: Thomas Corrington of Bloomington IL, Brenda and Chad Hensch of Urbana IL, Jessica and Paul Minnaert of Rockville, MD, Julie Cramer and Doug Young of East Carondelet, IL, and Stephen and Krista Thompson of Carlyle, IL; her grandchildren: Madison and Macayla Hensch, Justin and Alaina Cramer, Jaime and Johnny Wright, Alexa Gent and Kevin Wurm, and Riley Thompson; her great grandchildren: Thorin Cramer and Sophie Wurm; her brother: Tennis and Lorraine Arseneau; and a sister: Sharon and Kenneth Bretveld, She had 8 nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Judith Jividen, Sandra Johnson, Vicki Kerr, and Karen Klipp.
Mrs. Thompson loved crafts, especially sewing, cross stitching, and crochet. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis music, watching musicals, and soap operas. Pam loved spending time working crossword puzzles and word find activities.
Private services will be held, with burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. In lieu of other gifts, memorial donations are suggested to the Illinois School for the Deaf.
