Roger Kleiboeker, age 83 of Carlyle, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Mr. Kleiboeker was born in Irvington, Illinois on December 19, 1938, a son of Theodore and Flora (nee Buchholz) Kleiboeker. He married Nancy (nee King) Kleiboeker on November 24, 1995, and she survives in Carlyle.
In addition to his wife Nancy, Roger is also survived by his step-children – Melissa Dieckmann and Brian Dieckmann (Karen); a special granddaughter – Heather Dieckmann; a sister-in-law – Luella Kleiboeker; a niece – Diane Steele (Jeff); and his nephews – Charles Calvin (Cheryl), David Calvin (Kathy), Jim Calvin, and Tim Calvin.
Mr. Kleiboeker was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son – Robert Dieckmann; 2 sisters – Florence Calvin (Alfred) and Joyce Huge (Richard); and a brother – Albert Kleiboeker.
Roger retired from work at the Warren G. Murray Center, where he worked as a mental health technician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville. Roger loved to go fishing, enjoyed reading western books, and rooted for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an excellent cook who was known for making the best gravy.
A funeral service will be held at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Rev. Scott Sharp, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home from 9:00 – 11:00 prior to the service.
