Sheila K. Reynolds Shantz

Sheila Kay Reynolds Shantz passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at the age of 78. Sheila was born on November 24th, 1943, to Albert and Jaunita (nee Koontz) Reynolds, the oldest child. 

She is survived by her beloved children, Natalie Elizabeth (Mathew) Ikemeyer of Crestwood, MO and Lt. Col. USMC Nicholas Stephenson (Catherine) Hale of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandsons, Thomas Albert Hale and Edward Moynihan Hale of Virginia Beach, VA; her siblings, Jane Sachs of St. Joseph, MO, James (Niki Whearty) Reynolds of Helena, MT, Alan (Pam) Reynolds of Gainesville, GA, Lillie Saletski of Springfield, IL, and Lloyd (Dee Dee) Reynolds of Douglasville, GA.  Sheila is survived by LOVED nieces and nephews of unending numbers.  

Sheila was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Boeh.

Sheila graduated from Southwest High School in June of 1961. She attended Lindenwood College for Women from September of 1961 to June 1964, and graduated with a BSBA from UMSL in 1971.  She passed the Missouri CPA Exam in 1972. Sheila retired from Kellwood Corporation as the executive VP of Finance and CFO of Kellwood New England Division in 2001. 

Sheila spent her retirement in St. Louis amongst wonderful family, friends and acquaintances.  She loved life, no regrets.

A funeral service will be held at Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, IL 62231, at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022.  Interment will follow at McKendree Chapel Cemetery near Keyesport.  Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Sheila are suggested to the Salvation Army or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Memorial donations will be received through Zieren Funeral Home.
